Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet is is a PPI, a proton-pump inhibitor. By lowering acid levels in the stomach, it decreases reflux into the esophagus and, in turn, reduces heartburn.
To be most effective, Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablet should be taken as a 14-day treatment every four months. It is available over the counter, but should not be taken for more than 14 days unless directed by a doctor.
